During the Games time, over 13,000 athletes and team officials including extra officials will be accommodated at Kemayoran Block D10 in Jakarta and Jakabaring Athletes Villages located in Palembang. Opening of Athletes’ Village will be on July 16, 2018. A variety of amenities and recreational facilities will be offered for the Games family at Athletes’ Village. For the sake of the safety, separate Accreditation Access is required for entering the area.
There are limited spaces inside the competition venue for teams to store their containers at the designated container park area. There will be one confirmed slot for each Member National Authority (MNA) who has shipped containers for the Asian Games. There may be spare slots which will be allocated accordingly based on the number of entries from their MNA. For the remaining empty slots, teams who have not shipped any containers will be provided with those spaces with temporary shaded tents to use the spaces. Additional containers from teams will be stored in the yard across the road on the Southern side, outside of the competition venue. See Figure 1 below. The Asian Games Venue Manager, Johnny, will be in communications with teams who have left behind more than one container in the container park area at the competition venue from the 2018 Asian Sailing Championship (ASC). These teams shall inform Johnny at of the containers that they would like to keep inside the container park area and not be moved, and which ones can be relocated.
Each team who has containers at the competition venue will need to pay a security fee of USD 7 per container/per day from the end of the 2018 ASC to the day prior to the official start of the overall 2018 Asian Games (i.e. From 26 June 2018 to 17 August 2018), as well as any days after the end of the 2018 Asian Games (i.e. From 1 Sept 2018 onwards). This fee shall be paid during the on-site registration at the competition venue. This is a separate fee from the administrative fee of USD 100 per container as stated on the ASC website – Event Info. INASAF will send a letter to all affected MNAs to this effect as well.
